Polyurethane spray insulation is currently one of the highest‑performing insulation materials available worldwide. Rigid polyurethane spray foam boasts a light weight, low thermal conductivity, excellent heat resistance, good aging resistance, and ease of application. It adheres well to other composite building components and does not produce molten droplets when exposed to fire. In Europe and North America, it is widely used as an insulating material for roofs, walls, ceilings, floors, and doors and windows. In developed countries such as those in Europe and North America, approximately 49% of all building insulation consists of polyurethane spray foam, whereas in China, this figure remains below 10%.

As a high-performance polymer, the insulation material used in polyurethane spray‑on equipment has emerged as the fifth major plastic category, following polyethylene, polyvinyl chloride, polypropylene, and polystyrene. Global production has now surpassed 10 million tons. In recent years, China’s polyurethane spray‑on industry has made significant strides, with widespread applications in areas such as refrigerators, containers, leather goods, footwear, and textiles. Moreover, polyurethane spray‑on technology is being vigorously promoted across numerous sectors, including building energy efficiency. As a result, the growing recognition of its unique properties is poised to open up substantial and sustained growth opportunities for China’s polyurethane spray‑on industry.

Polyurethane spray machine The insulation pipe exhibits a slow startup. This issue typically occurs during autumn and winter or when work is carried out in the early morning, due to sudden temperature drops or low ambient temperatures. It can be resolved by raising both the ambient temperature and the temperature of the black material. The black material itself usually remains unchanged; simply increase its temperature to 30–60°C and the ambient temperature to 20–30°C. In contrast, the insulation pipe on a polyurethane spray machine heats up very rapidly. This phenomenon is more common in spring and summer or during midday operations, as the temperature rises abruptly and becomes excessively high. The black material can be cooled with cold water or left outdoors overnight to cool naturally, avoiding direct sunlight.
