Over the course of 18 years, this renowned trade show has steadily expanded in scale. To meet market demands and reflect Shenyang’s regional characteristics, the Northeast International Hardware and Tools Exhibition has been held annually in Shenyang since 1998.

To meet market demands and reflect Shenyang’s regional characteristics, the Northeast International Hardware & Tools Exhibition has been held annually in Shenyang since 1998. After eighteen years of meticulous development, it has grown into the largest, longest-running, and most influential specialized international trade fair in Northern China. It has been recognized as Shenyang’s Best Trade Show and a flagship brand exhibition at both the Liaoning Province and Shenyang city levels. Over the first eighteen editions, more than 13,000 hardware manufacturers and distributors have participated, attracting over 540,000 visitors, including more than 12,000 overseas buyers. Its professional standing is widely acknowledged, making it one of China’s largest and most influential specialized international exhibitions today— an indispensable industry event for professionals from across the country and the broader Northeast region.
2. The substantial demand in the Northeast market and Shenyang’s regional influence are key to the exhibition’s success.
In recent years, the revitalization of Northeast China’s traditional industrial base has created substantial business opportunities for the hardware industry. With the renovation of aging industrial facilities and the launch of numerous new industrial projects—particularly the growth of the region’s equipment‑manufacturing sector—and the vigorous expansion of the construction and decoration industries, sales of hardware products have surged, spurring the establishment of specialized hardware markets and boosting overall market demand. Meanwhile, Shenyang, as the central city of Northeast China and a gateway to North Korea, South Korea, Japan, and Russia, serves as both a major distribution hub for goods and a key commercial and trade center, making it an important gateway for domestic trade and international exports in the hardware sector. Recently, the state has approved the creation of an economic zone encompassing eight prefecture‑level cities centered on Shenyang, which will undoubtedly strengthen the city’s cohesion, expand its influence, enhance its appeal, and further increase demand.
