I’m not sure if everyone knows that, during construction when building houses and other structures, the coating we often use for thermal insulation and waterproofing is called polyurethane. The sprayer used to apply this coating evenly is known as a polyurethane spray machine. So, how does a polyurethane spray machine work, and what are its key features?

Polyurethane spray machine Also known as a high-pressure polyurethane spray machine, its operating principle is as follows: during spraying, the polyurethane undergoes high-speed impact and vigorous rotation within a very confined mixing chamber, resulting in thorough blending. The rapid motion causes the material to form fine mist‑like droplets at the nozzle, which are then evenly dispersed onto the surface of the object.

Polyurethane spray machine It boasts numerous advantages: regardless of the substrate’s shape—whether flat, vertical, or horizontal; round, spherical; or any other complex, irregular form—it can be seamlessly coated and foamed without requiring costly molds. After spraying and foaming, the resulting insulating foam layer perfectly conforms to the substrate’s contours, with no visible seams, delivering excellent thermal insulation and significantly boosting production efficiency. This makes it particularly well suited for insulating large‑area, custom‑shaped components, while also ensuring rapid curing. Polyurethane spray machines exhibit exceptionally strong adhesive properties, enabling them to bond a wide range of materials—including concrete and masonry, wood and steel, asphalt and rubber—creating robust, durable bonds across their surfaces. Moreover, the polyurethane applied by these machines offers outstanding sealing performance, leaving no visible joints. By fully enveloping a building’s exterior envelope, it effectively prevents wind and moisture from infiltrating through gaps and cracks, achieving airtight, watertight sealing.
